Life & Accidental Death & Dismemberment

There are the following two options available:

  • Basic Term Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD/D)
  • Supplemental Term Life and AD/D for yourself, your spouse and dependent children is available through Lincoln Financial.

  • Employee (college-paid)


  • Two times the employee's base annual salary rounded to the next higher thousand dollars, to a maximum of $300,000


Accelerated Living Benefit

  • An employee may request this benefit if the employee is terminally ill. The benefit will be paid in advance of death. The benefit amount is 50% of the basic term life and supplemental term life insurance (combined) in force.

  • If the amount of insurance is scheduled for an age-related reduction within one year after applying for a living benefit, the maximum benefit will be limited to 50% of the scheduled reduced amount
Lincoln Financial Supplemental Term Life And Accidental Death/Dismemberment Policy  


  • You may elect to purchase additional insurance (at your own expense) through Lincoln Financialup to a maximum of $100,000.

  • You may elect coverage for your spouse/domestic partner, to a maximum of $30,000, not to exceed 50% of the supplemental employee amount selected.

  • Child benefit is set at $10,000, regardless of amount of supplemental insurance selected by employee.

Changes for 2012

  • Employee may increase their coverage to $250,000 with Evidence of Insurability

  • Employees currently enrolled may increase their coverage $20,000 without Evidence of Insurability

  • Employees currently enrolled may increase the Spouse/Domestic Partner coverage $10,000 withour Evidence of Insurability, to a maximum of $30,000

NOTE: Supplemental Life Insurance above $100,000 and up to $250,000 requires a medical history statement. Additional   changes will requires completion of Medical History Statement or Evidence of Insurability.
