Reporting Emergencies on Campus
Emergencies, potential criminal actions, or suspicious activities can be reported
by regular telephone, or in person. At SCF Bradenton, dial extension 65550 from any on-campus telephone to report such matters. At SCF Venice, dial extension
61550 from any on-campus telephone. In case of a life-threatening situation call 911 from any college phone. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to report any
suspicious activity regardless of how insignificant it may seem. The officer who
answers your call is trained in handling emergencies. When reporting an urgent situation
please give the following information:
In response to your call, public safety personnel are dispatched to the scene to lend assistance, investigate, or prepare a report. Local fire, emergency medical or police personnel are called when appropriate. Operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, the SCF Public Safety personnel are deployed on campus in motor vehicles, bikes and on foot to provide quick response, as well as a high degree of visibility and accessibility to the College community.
- Give your name and location.
- Describe the nature of the emergency.
- Be prepared to respond to the officer's questions or instructions.
