Chapter 3:  Teaching eLearning Courses

Faculty teaching eLearning courses have the same basic obligations as do all instructors and function under the job description for "Instructional Faculty."

Teaching Guidelines

1)       eLearning instructors must work with the Director of eLearning to complete eLearning Certification requirements.

2)       eLearning instructors must develop course content that meets and is equal to the course objectives of the class offered in a traditional format.

3)       All online courses will use the Online Syllabus Template.

4)       eLearning courses will be periodically reviewed by the department chair and instructor to evaluate whether course objectives are being reached. It is the responsibility of the eLearning instructor to revise the course as needed to keep course content, learning activities, and assessments current.
