Transient Student Financial Aid

If you are a degree-seeking student at SCF and are planning to enroll at another institution to take classes and wish to receive your financial assistance from SCF, you must follow the following steps:

  1. Your financial aid file must be complete for your consortium to be approved.
  2. You cannot receive financial aid at both institutions, only your home school (SCF) for which you are degree-seeking.
  3. State of Florida funds such as Bright Futures and Florida Student Assistance Grant will not be applied to out-of-state tuition.
  4. Tuition, fees, and books/supplies will be paid to the host school by the student by the host school's deadline.
  5. Transient coursework must transfer back to SPC and apply toward the degree-program you are enrolled in.
  6. The Registrar Transient Form or the www.facts.org course approval that shows the approved courses to take at the host school must be attached to the Consortium Agreement for Transient Study.
  7. The application will be denied if you register for courses that were not approved or fail to properly complete the Consortium Agreement for Transient Study.
