Financial Aid

Not sure how to pay for college? State College of Florida's financial aid services office provides guidance on grants, scholarships, student employment and loans to help you pay your college expenses.


Hours of Operation

Monday: 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Tuesday: 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Wednesday: 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Thursday: 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Friday: 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.  

2013-2014 Financial Aid Priority Dates:

5/01/2013 - Priority deadline to have financial aid file completed to be considered for institutionally awarded aid for the fall 2013 term.

7/01/2013 - All required documents must be received by the financial aid office to ensure funding of tuition and fees prior to the beginning of the fall 2013 term. Documents received after this date will be processed in the order they were received by the financial aid office. Students should pay for their classes by the established pay dates, as reimbursements will be made on eligibility.

2012-2013 Financial Aid Awarding:

The Summer Loan Application is now available to any students who will be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours for summer sessions A, B, or C.

4/26/2013 - All required documents must be received by the financial aid office to ensure funding of tuition and fees prior to the beginning of the summer terms (for all summer A, B, and C terms). Financial Aid awards are made weekly as applicants complete all financial aid requirements. Please monitor your SCF Connect Account for your financial aid status.

Important Updates from Financial Aid: 

As a result of recent legislative changes, you should be aware of a number of new requirements for the federal student aid programs. Most of these changes are effective with the 2012-13 school year (July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013). Click here for more information.

Helpful Facts and Reminders:

Watch your SCFconnect for financial aid status updates. For Students taking late starting classes - disbursements of your student loans will occur once you begin attending at half time status which is 6 credit hours.

  • Students are required to submit their current FL Prepaid card to the Fin. Aid Office at least once in the attending academic calendar year.
  • The 2013/2014 FAFSA is now available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov
  • Bright Future students must have an error free FAFSA.

Drug Offenses: If you have a drug conviction for an offense that occurred while you were receiving federal student aid (grants, loans, or work study) You will receive a worksheet in the mail with your SAR (Student Aid Report). You can use the worksheet to determine whether the conviction affects your eligibility for federal student aid.
